Jerry Seinfeld / David Bowie
October 2, 1999

[OPENING] Perot seeks ideal Reform candidate
This was a great opening sketch for the show and for the season. Great impresseins and no weak jokes. Will Ferrell makes a great Jesse Ventura, I hope to see more of that this season.

[MONOLOGUE] Jerry Seinfeld
This was a big disapointment for me,I was really looking forward to seeing Jerry Seinfeld's monologue because thats what he does best ,stand up comedy. Does anybody remeber his monologue in 1992- HILARIOUS!!!!! And what about the monologues at the beggining of the Seinfeld episodes! Jerry Seinfeld, one of the funniest stand ups in America, and all he could come up with was some crap about what he does since the show ended. This really let me down.
D

[COMMERCIAL] www.clownpenis.fart
This was strange, I kinda liked it.
B

[SKETCH] Morning Latte
I've always been one to like the morning latte sketches and this one just extended my liking to them. I think and added plus is the physical abuse Cheri Oteri took in it and I hope that continues througout the season. Sienfeld's segment was great in this sketch. Chris Parnell as Oteri's alchoholic husband was also hilarious.
A

[SKETCH] Mary Katherine Gallagher goes for Jewish boy
Well unlike the Roxbury brothers Mary Katerine Gallagher has not become anoying as its gotten older and the comedy has not detiriorated one bit.Good Jewish jokes bad ethiopian ones though.
B

[COMMERCIAL] Javis Home Security System
This was another strange commercial ,but better than clownpenis.fart. The spontinuity was great about this one
B-

[SKETCH] Action 8 News Watch
It started out pretty good but was dragged out to far ,maybe that was just part of the joke on local news staions.
C

[WEEKEND UPDATE] with Colin Quinn
A truly Great update. The Garth Brooks jokes were amazing, I totally agree with Colin that this Chris Gaines thing Brooks has developed is ridiculous and deserves to be made fun of as much as possible! Who does he think he's kidding with that wig he has on! On the "Point Counterpoint" segment Fallons Seinfeld impression proved to be hilarious. Jimmy Fallon sure knows how to impersonate.
A

[MUSICAL GUEST] David Bowie
I'm not really a bowie fan. However I liked this a little better than his previous apperance in 1997.
B

[SKETCH] Oz
I always wondered what it would be like for Jerry in prison. Good prison jokes and some good jokes on "Seinfeld".
B

[SKETCH] 1-800-EAT SH**
This was like the Action 8 news watch good in the begging but boring towards the end.
C

[SKETCH] ... and a Pizza Place
This too started out good but by the end became dull and unfunny. They should've focused more on customers eating pizza and pizza being made than a stupid segment on the emmy awards!
C

[MUSICAL GUEST] David Bowie
Same as the last one.
B

[SKETCH] He's alive ... he's dead ... he's alive
I really don't know what to say on this one, part of me liked it and part of me didn't. I think towards the end Seinfeld, Ferrell, Fallon and Sanz were laughing at how ridiculous it got to be.
B-

[OVERALL]
Not a great way to start of the season but what can ya do. Some sktches made me laugh and some didn't. Where is the new featured player I heard about? Racheal somthing oh well I forget her name. Its not that bad an episode a I look back on it.
