EPISODE REVIEWS

Norm Macdonald / Dr. Dre featuring Snoop Dogg & Eminem
October 23, 1999

Opening-Pretty stupid. Darrel Hammond did a pretty bad Giuliani. C

Monologue- Very funny. A+

Martha Stewart Living- Very funny. Definitely the best of all the Martha Stewart sketches. A

Great Moments in Yankee History- Not a great impersonation, but very funny. A+

Celebrity Jeopardy- This skit is getting a little old, but it was funny as always. Jimmy Fallon did an ausome French Stewart, and Burt Reylonds and Sean Connery were great as always. A+

NBC Crosstalk- I didn't think this was at all funny. None of the characters were funny. D

Larry King's News and Views- One of the funniest skits of the night. Not a great Larry King impression, but it sure was funny. A+

Fun with real Audio- I've never found this cartoon to be funny unless it's the ambiguously gay duo. C

Larry King's News and Views- Same as above, A+

Weekend Update- Colin Quin really sucks at weekend update, there's not much else to it. His delivery is pathertic and his jokes aren't funny. I was hoping Norm could have gone on and done it when he hosted, but he didn't, so I give this segment an F.

Dr. Dre featuring Snoop Dog- I wouldn't know, I change the channel during rap music.

The McMulluns argue at Halloween- Pretty funny. Not much else to say about it. B

Michael Jackson Drowns his Sorrows- Sucked, not funny. D- ( would get an F, but then what would I give Weekend Update?)

Dr. Dre- Didn't watch.

Bravo's Inside the Actors Studio- I din't think it was very funny. C

Chess For Girls- I've seen this like, two years ago. B

Overall, I thought it was good. The first half was great and the second half was awful. Still, Norm Macdonald did a great job hosting. A-
