[OPENING] Al W. Bush Gore- decent sketch, but with nothing to offer. Good premise, just not executed well. Maybe this sounded funnier on paper. And is it just me or did Horatio seem to be having a tough time with his part? C+
[MONOLOGUE} Heather Graham- Decent laugh. Heather's beautiful and has some acting chops, so this was well-devised. B-
[COMMERCIAL] Litter Critters- Great commercial. I enjoyed hearing the audience's disgusted reactions. B
[SKETCH] Sex crazed couple on plane-this sketch has been done before, but the Kattan-Ferrell kiss made it funny. B
[SKETCH] Ladies' Man- God Bless Tim Meadows! He's been on the show for nine years, and this character is the only tolerable one that doesn't have a catch phrase to hammer home 87 million times. Heather as Rollergirl was good, too. Can't wait for the movie next year. B+
[SKETCH] Hans And Franz: Where Are They Now?- Dana Carvey and Kevin Nealon...together again as those muscle-brained jocks Hans and Franz. The "infomercial" was hilarious, as was the buttocks reading on the boardwalk. Hilarious from start to finish. A+
[SKETCH] VH1 NetAid coverage- Chris' Bono was dead-on, Heather's Jewel was great, Tracy's Busta Rhymes was sub-par, but the whole thing just seemed...well...lacking and unenergetic. C+
[WEEKEND UPDATE] with Colin Quinn- excellent WU this week...the Ellen joke was funny and the Univision-type comedy skit that Colin and Horatio performed was right on the money. B+
[MUSICAL GUEST] Marc Anthony- ANOTHER Flavor Of The Month musical act, Lorne? Yeah, well keep 'em coming. I'll just keep ignoring the musical performances until you start getting BANDS (and good ones) back on the show. C-
[SKETCH] Dog Show- This sketch can be funny when it wants to be. It started out funny, but then the whole seance' thing made it do a 180. C-
[SKETCH] 'Blair Witch Project' Spoof Foundation- Bullseye! Great idea, well-done, and the 'subtitles' were a riot. Good job. B+
[MUSICAL GUEST] Marc Anthony- See above C-
[SKETCH] Post-threesome discussion- Good writing and Ana's frumpy housewife made this funny. B-
Altogether, a decent ep. Not as bad as last week's, but not a perfect ep. either. I have good feelings about Norm's hosting gig next week, and HE BETTER GET TO DO WEEKEND UPDATE!!! There, rant over. Only time will tell if next week's will surpass this one...I'm hoping so.
So I give this episode a B-, bordering close to a C.
