Lucy Lawless / Elliott Smith
October 17, 1998

[OPENING] NBC Special Report: Republicans Plans for the Future

Even though the thought of Henry Hyde telling me to suck on it irks me, it was great humour. I almost peed.

Grade:A

[MONOLOGUE] Lucy Lawless

Not too bad and better than most.

Grade: B-

[COMMERCIAL] Shirt in a Can

They've had better ideas, but this was alright, I guess.

Grade:C+

[SKETCH] Judge Judy

I'm starting to get sick of this one.

Grade:C+

[MISCELLANEOUS] History of Presidential Scandals

The Birdbagger, indeed.

Grade:B

[SKETCH] White House in Crisis

It started of like a regular sketch (which I gather was the point), but the concept kept rolling along and it was pretty funny. Lucy Lawless couldn't quite pull off the accent, though.

Grade:A-

[TV FUNHOUSE] Fun With Real Audio: Saturday Howard Night Stern Live

This was Robert smigel at his most vicious. The highlight of the episode.

Grade:A+

[COMMERCIAL] Stevie Nicks Fajita Roundup

A little redundant, but not that bad.

Grade:C+

[SKETCH] The, How do you say, Ah Yes! Show

Horatio Sanz stole the show here.

Grade:B-

[MISCELLANEOUS] History of Presidential Scandals

Short, sweet, and funny as hell.

Grade:A

[WEEKEND UPDATE] with Colin Quinn

Colin keeps trying to do his stand-up act instead of a satirical newscast. And what the hell was Chucky doing there?

Grade:D

[MUSICAL GUEST] Elliott Smith

Just really boring.

Grade:D

[SKETCH] A&E's Biography on Puff Daddy

It's about time someone did this. Puffy deserves every bit of it. Darrell Hammond was great.

Grade:A

[SKETCH] Terrance Maddox models for art class

Good to see this sketch back again.

Grade:B

[SKETCH] Goth Talk goes to the mall

Best one in a while. Love that Horatio, and I always get a kick out of Azrael Abyss.

Grade:A-

[SKETCH] The Kulps at the World Series

Stronger than most finishing sketches, although most food should have been thrown at them.

Grade:B-

Overall Grade:B+
