Drew Barrymore / Garbage
March 20, 1999

[OPENING] E! Oscar Pre-Show with Joan and Melissa
Rivers - Funny opening, It was funny to see Melissa
trying to interview people. A

[MONOLOGUE] Drew Barrymore - Hilarious simply because
it was the truth! A

[SKETCH] Celebrity Jeopardy - This is simply the
funniest sketch on SNL. Hammond and Connery was
hilarious as always. Barrymore was funny as Flockhart,
but Jimmy Fallon made me laugh so hard over his Nic
Cage act. He didn't say much, but when he did, it was
funny! A+

[SKETCH] "How are you doing?" in Banana Republic -
Quite humorous, it was kinda dumb though. I liked the
dramatic acting... B+

[COMMERCIAL] VH1 Behind the Music: Captain and Tenille
- The VH1's aren't that funny. B-

[SKETCH] The How Do You Say? Ah Yes, Show - The "Lips
covered in Penis Butter" was hysterical. Kattan is so
entertaining. A+

[TV FUNHOUSE] Fun With Real Audio: Oscar Highlights -
The funniest cartoon since Howard Stern complaining
about Lorne. A+

[WEEKEND UPDATE] with Colin Quinn - Not so funny. Not
much of that news is important. The only thing that was
funny was the "PARTY OF FIVE" and the "I BELIEVE!" with
Chris Kattan. A-

[MUSICAL GUEST] Garbage - The name says it all. C

[SKETCH] Dog Show - Humorous thanks to the dogs.
Mr.Rocky Bell-Boa was funny when he sat up on his back
paws. Barrymore and Shannon were...uh..interesting. B+

[COMMERCIAL] VH1 Behind the Music: Def Leopard - This
one was funny. The man pretending to be Def Leopard
with the arm tucked into his shirt. A

[SKETCH] Terrance Maddox models for art class - Funny
sketch. Not much to comment. The sketch was about a
naked guy posing for art. It was amusing none-the-less.

[MUSICAL GUEST] Garbage - The name says it all. D-
because they were on twice.

[COMMERCIAL] VH1 Behind the Music: Fred Schneider
- Kinda funny. but pointless. B-

[OVERALL] This was a pretty hilarious show. The
Celebrity Jeopardy and TV Funhouse were the only REALLY
funny sketches! This was surely a Grade A show.
