Drew Barrymore / Garbage
March 20, 1999

[OPENING] E! Oscar Pre-Show with Joan and Melissa Rivers
Cheri and Ana both did great impersonations, but the thing with Joan Rivers having fangs and wings was a little weird for me. B-

[MONOLOGUE] Drew Barrymore
The song was cute, and I couldn't stop laughing when Chris Kattan came out dressed as a whiskey bottle! Drew wasn't exactly the best singer though......B

[SKETCH] Celebrity Jeopardy
I love these!!! Everyone did good impersonations, and I loved the part about the pen being too heavy for Calista Flockhart. A

[SKETCH] "How are you doing?" in Banana Republic
HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!! They were so freaked out when they didn't know how he was doing :0) A++

[COMMERCIAL] VH1 Behind the Music: Captain and Tenille
I've never heard of them, so I didn't really get it. N/A

[SKETCH] The How Do You Say? Ah Yes, Show
They've had this sketch a few too many times. It was okay, but they've done better ones. C

[TV FUNHOUSE] Fun With Real Audio: Oscar Highlights
I didn't like it. Almost all the Real Audio sketches are the same. D

[WEEKEND UPDATE] with Colin Quinn
For a while, I really missed Norm, but Colin's been doing great lately! His only problem is how he always cracks up. I liked Chris's thing about Cher a lot "How do you feel Colin?" "I feel like I'm listening to Cher." A

[MUSICAL GUEST] Garbage
I've always liked Garbage. A

[SKETCH] Dog Show
This is usually one of my favorite sketches, but it wasn't very good this week. It was cute how Rocky Balboa and Mr.Bojangles (who's really a girl) got married, but they should have left it at that-they didn't need Drew in this sketch. B-

[COMMERCIAL] VH1 Behind the Music: Def Leopard
Pretty funny. B

[SKETCH] Terrance Maddox models for art class
EEEEWWWWWW!!!!!! No offense to Will, but these are disgusting. And it's the exact same thing every time. The only funny part is when they say *wink* D+

[MUSICAL GUEST] Garbage
Same as last Garbage review. It was okay tonight, but I usually don't like it when the musical guest performs twice.

[COMMERCIAL] VH1 Behind the Music: Fred Schneider
Will was very funny, but I expected a better ending sketch. B

Overall:
Tonight's show wasn't the best, wasn't the worst I've seen. They definitley needed more Jimmy Fallon. (Anyone with info on Jimmy, please e-mail me at Braves1095@aol.com) I can't believe the next two shows are reruns though! I wish they would have the cheerleaders on. Anyhoo, overall, I give it a B-.
