Sylvester Stallone / Jamiroquai

[OPENING] Oprah's Book Club

Tim Meadows' Oprah was okay. I really haven't liked it that much. Norm MacDonald was funny as Marv Albert. "Normally when I eat pizza I don't get a FULL ERECTION!" Hilarious.

[MONOLOGUE] Sylvester Stallone

I thought this was a good part to put the "Rocky" parody in. Jim Breuer was great as Mickey and Tracy Morgan was pretty good as Mr.T. To top off this monologue was Chris Kattan as Adrienne. I think is was a great monologue!

Grade: A

[COMMERCIAL] Assjet Xerox

This was a good commercial to start the season off with. Will Ferrell was entertaining as the host. I especially liked the imprint of an ass inside the printer.

Grade: B+

[SKETCH] Rita Delvechio

I thought this was a crappy skit to start the show off with. I wouldn't mind seeing it at the end. It wasn't well-written. The only person I thought did a good job was Sylvester Stallone as the husband. Other than that, I would've put the "Computer Store" sketch in the beginning instead of this.

Grade: C-

[SKETCH] Car accident victim bad-mouths Stallone movies

I thought this was a great skit. It was well-written and acted. I'm also happy to see that Stallone took the jokes well. The best joke in the skit was "'Kramer Vs. Kramer' was also a movie about child custody but it was missing one thing ... what was it ... oh yeah, ARM WRESTLING."

Grade: A

[SKETCH] Roxbury Guys

The best "Roxbury Guys" since the Tom Hanks show. I liked the parts when Chris Kattan was elbowed in the head and when he was thrown out the door. Sylvester Stallone was a good Roxbury Guy. I also liked the part when Stallone started punching the girl when he was dancing with her.

Grade: A

[SKETCH] Janet Reno decides whether or not to investigate Clinton

I've always been a fan of Will Ferrell's Janet Reno. He always makes the voice funny and the skit entertaining. I didn't like the ending much and I think they should of made the sketch longer.

Grade: B

[TV FUNHOUSE] Fun With Real Audio: Casablanca Outtakes

This was pretty funny. But frankly the only "TV Funhouse" skit I enjoy now is "The Ambiguously Gay Duo." This was pretty stupid. I didn't really find it funny except the ending when his fart started the airplane.

Grade: B-

[WEEKEND UPDATE] with Norm MacDonald

A great opening for "Weekend Update." The jokes were on the mark and the guests were funny. The highlight of the skit was Richard Jewell and the questions Norm MacDonald asked him like, "Did you happen to read any of the papers in FRANCE?" Norm MacDonald is going to have a good season this year.

Grade: A

[MUSICAL GUEST] Jamiroquai

I'm not a Jamiroquai fan. I was hoping he was going to sing "Virtual Insanity" but he didn't. I guess my loss.

Grade: C

[SKETCH] Computer Store

This was an excellent sketch. Sylvester Stallone acted very well as Dave the Computer Store helper. Will Ferrell is always entertaining as the helpless victim. It was also well-written.

Grade: B

It's good to see Deep Thoughts back.

Grade: B+

[SKETCH] Planet Hollywood

Jim Breuer and Tracy Morgan were funny to watch as two fans of Stallone who can't leave him alone. I like the "YO PAULY" part.

Grade: B

[SKETCH] Lou's Lovely Daughters

This skit was fairly good only because it was at the end of the show. I liked Cheri Oteri's character. When is the Bill Brasky gang going to be back?

Grade: B-

[COMMERCIAL] Elton John's Tributes to Other Dead Celebrities

Pretty lame and boring.

Grade: F

A great way to start off the season. Sylvester Stallone did a great job.

Grade: A
