[OPENING] Oprah's Book Club

This sketch was great. I usually don't like Tim Meadows' Oprah impression, but it seemed better this time. Norm MacDonald was hilarious as Marv Albert. Mike Tyson in the audience was a great touch. This sketch flowed together very well, and was a great opener for the 23rd season.

[MONOLOGUE] Sylvester Stallone

"SNL" is going to have to go a long way to beat this monologue this season. This was so funny. I couldn't stop laughing after seeing Jim Breuer doing Mickey. Then I cracked up when Tracy Morgan came out as Mr. T! Even the end was funny, with Kattan as Adrian! This was the funniest monologue I've seen in a while. "I pity the fool who has to listen to you do a monologue!"

[COMMERCIAL] Assjet Xerox

This was a pretty funny concept for a commercial parody. I'm surprised they haven't thought of this before now.

[SKETCH] Rita Delvechio

I usually don't like this sketch, but I think that Stallone made it! He was great as her husband, and the new car concept was pretty funny.

[SKETCH] Car accident victim bad-mouths Stallone movies

This was a funny sketch. It was funny just to see Norm MacDonald dying, but still cutting on Stallone's movies, as he was trying to save him. "STOP!..STOP! ... 'STOP, OR MY MOM WILL SHOOT' SUCKED!..."

[SKETCH] Roxbury Guys

Well, this sketch is my favorite to begin with, so of course I loved this one. It was great how they took Rocky with them, and how they taught him to dance. Before this sketch, I could have never seen Stallone doing something like this, but it was great!

[SKETCH] Janet Reno decides whether or not to investigate Clinton

I usually like "Janet Reno's Dance Party," but for some reason, this wasn't all that great of a sketch in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, it was funny, but I don't know if I liked it as a sketch. Richard Jewell's appearance was mildly funny. And Will Ferrell's impression was totally hilarious!!

[WEEKEND UPDATE] with Norm MacDonald

This is always great. A lot of great jokes this week. Norm's interview with Richard Jewell was funny. It's all good.

Rating: 7 out of 10

[SKETCH] Computer Store

This sketch was funny! Will Ferrell's general attitude in every sketch he's in just makes it perfect, and makes me crack up! I loved the whole vending machine thing. The Orange Julias thing was strange, though still funny!!

Rating: 7 out of 10

[SKETCH] Planet Hollywood

This was just a humorous sketch about two of Stallone's obsessed fans. It was funny to see Breuer and Morgan act like morons. It was great.

Rating: 6 out of 10

[SKETCH] Lou's Lovely Daughters

This sketch wasn't all that funny. Parts of it made me chuckle. Nothing special though.

Rating: 5 out of 10

[COMMERCIAL] Elton John's Tributes to Other Dead Celebrities

This was so funny. I really wish I could of seen the whole thing. Great impression by Ferrell!!! I guess time ran short

Rating: 6 out of 10 (because not finished)

As a season premiere, this was an excellent show. Every sketch made me laugh. Some more than others, but at least it raised a chuckle, and I sure as heck can't say that about every show. Prior to this episode, I had never seen this side of Stalone, but he's proven to me he's excellent in comedy!! They should get him back on sometime this was a great show!
