Sylvester Stallone / Jamiroquai
September 27, 1997
[OPENING] Oprah's Book Club
Funny. Norm's Marv Albert was a good but this sketch went too far with the YESSS! After a few of them it really became annoying.
Rating: 7 out of 10
[MONOLOGUE] Sylvester Stallone
This monologue was very disappointing. I have been watching this show for years and this was one of the most disappointing. But Mr. T was funny and Rocky's trainer was funny but the sketch went too far.
Rating: 6 out of 10
[COMMERCIAL] Assjet Xerox
This was funny, yet I am sure we'll be seeing this again 3 or 4 more times throughout the season.
Rating: 8 out of 10
[SKETCH] Rita Delvechio
Rita always makes me laugh. Sly as her husband made me crack up. This sketch was funny but could've been better.
Rating: 7 out of 10
[SKETCH] Car accident victim bad-mouths Stallone movies
This sketch reeked. This was not funny at all. The porn tape at the end made me snicker but other than that no laughs from me.
Rating: 4 out of 10
[SKETCH] Roxbury Guys
This sketch is always funny. Sly and his ineptness for dancing was funny. The car scene was hilarious. One of the better skits of the night.
Rating: 9 out of 10
[SKETCH] Janet Reno decides whether or not to investigate Clinton
Hilarious. Will Ferrell's impression always makes me laugh, he looks so much like her. The whole skit was funny and Richard Jewell was funny.
Rating: 10 out of 10
[TV FUNHOUSE] Fun With Real Audio: Casablanca Outtakes
This sketch was okay, but farting was old and this cartoon sucked.
Rating: 4 out of 10
[WEEKEND UPDATE] with Norm MacDonald
This reeked. The jokes weren't funny ... maybe a few good one liners, but Richard Jewell made me hate this even more. Someone replace Norm, he's becoming the Kevin Nealon of the '90s.
Rating: 2 out of 10
[MUSICAL GUEST] Jamiroquai
Don't really like them so I won't rate them.
[SKETCH] Computer Store
Funny, but the ending was a little weird. The whole gay computer thing was funny but this sketch got old fast.
Rating: 5 out of 10
[THE LOST DEEP THOUGHTS] by Jack Handey
Funny. I always like Jack Handey but they should have tacked this on at the end of a sketch and not give it it's own 30 second time slot.
Rating: 8 out of 10
[SKETCH] Planet Hollywood
This whole sketch sucked from the beginning. Why they did it puzzles me. They should have done the Elton John sketch here.
Rating: 1 out of 10
[SKETCH] Lou's Lovely Daughters
Although this was funny it went on too long. The oldest pregnant daughter was most funny.
Rating: 9 out of 10
[COMMERCIAL] Elton John's Tributes to Other Dead Celebrities
This sketch could've gone somewhere but sadly it was cut off.
Rating: 7 out of 10
