[OPENING] Spartan Cheerleader wanna-bees Craig & Arianna

VERY funny. It was different seeing them not being at a sporting event. I think it was better this way. I usually don't like it when the other cast members come and make fun of the Spartans. They make fun of themselves just fine! Welcome back Spartans!!!

Grade: A

[MONOLOGUE] Matthew Perry

Definitely one of the best monologues I have ever seen.! It was great to see Perry get out into the city and talk to New Yorkers. (Even if what they were saying was written for them!) the man they got to dance in the fountain with Perry was excellent! Watch out Chris Farley! This episode looks promising!

Grade: A

[COMMERCIAL] Cookie Dough Sport Drink

Good. It didn't really make much sense, but it was still pretty funny watching people dump cookie dough on themselves. It was a cute idea dumping the cooler on his head!

Grade: B

[SKETCH] Celebrity Jeopardy

As like many other "SNL" fans, my face always lights up when I see the words "JEOPARDY" flash across the screen. Norm was dead on with his Burt Reynolds impression (as usual). Without him that skit would lose a lot of its Ummph. The skit is always so into detail that's what makes it so great. To my surprise Perry did an excellent impression of Michael Keaton. This sketch just keeps on getting funnier every time! Will it ever die? Probably but I doubt any time soon.

Grade: A+

[SKETCH] Sarcasm 101

Not a bad sketch. I thought it had a witty premise. It seemed to drag on with unfunny jokes though. Smart writing.

Grade: B-

[SKETCH] The Ladies' Man

Some of the jokes were funny but not many. This one is on the verge of its death.

Grade: C

[SKETCH] Space the Infinite Frontier with Harry Caray

This sketch is pretty dead I was surprised they used it for the "Best of ... " episode! This "SNL" episode seems to be falling.

Grade: C-

[WEEKEND UPDATE] with Norm MacDonald

To my surprise Norm didn't make any mistakes! Come on Norm, get with it!!!!!!

Grade: B

[SKETCH] MTV News: Goat Boy press conference

Goat Boy should stick to his '80s show. I think Ana and Jim really get into their characters well. I usually love Kincaid and the might goat! This one was a bad use of some great weirdoes.

Grade: B-

[SKETCH] "Friends"

It was great how they hit on Quinn's bad Chandler impression. Gasteyer and Kattan especially super. For being put in the middle of the show this skit was, for the most part, right on!

Grade: A-

[MISCELLANEOUS] The Go Lords

Didn't like it too much!!

Grade: C-

[SKETCH] Good Morning with Liza

All of the impressions were very good. Gasteyer did a Great Andie MacDowell. Having Morgan at the piano was a hoot! Good way to finish it off.

Grade: A-

OVERALL

This episode had a GREAT beginning and end and just a so-so middle. This was one of the better "SNLs"!!!

Grade: A-
