[OPENING] Spartan Cheerleader wanna-bees Craig & Arianna

This one was like most Craig and Arianna skits ... some funny gags, but you can't deny the fact that it's overused.

Rating: 6 out of 10

[MONOLOGUE] Matthew Perry

Very Letterman-ish. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is debatable, but at least they didn't have Matt just standing on the stage telling lame jokes.

Rating: 7 out of 10

[COMMERCIAL] Cookie Dough Sport Drink

"SNL" is two for two this year in coming up with funny advertisements. It may be replayed ad-nauseum in future episodes, but this one was still funny.

Rating: 7 out of 10

[SKETCH] Celebrity Jeopardy

It was hilarious with Martin Short, pretty good with John Goodman, but now they're running out of material. "Asia" was funny, but the Michael Keaton impression *ahem* was not.

Rating: 5 out of 10

[SKETCH] Sarcasm 101

Probably looked better on paper. It felt rushed and none of the jokes really hit home. I like Norm (as I always do), but not very good overall.

Rating: 5 out of 10

[SKETCH] The Ladies' Man

They took what looked like a routine sketch in the beginning and made it hysterical. Meadows ruled!!! Sure, it may have been a bit un-PC, but if you want safe comedy, go watch "Home Improvement."

Rating: 8 out of 10

[SKETCH] Space the Infinite Frontier with Harry Caray

As with the Celeb Jeopardy, this one lost its luster over time. What was funny with Jeff Goldblum flopped this week. I like the impression, but this is looking to turn into another Goat Boy or Mary Katherine Gallagher. Just not very good.

Rating: 4 out of 10

[WEEKEND UPDATE] with Norm MacDonald

I don't usually remember the "Weekend Updates," but how can you go wrong with Norm?

Rating: 8 out of 10

[MUSICAL GUEST] Oasis

Eh.

Rating: 6 out of 10

[SKETCH] MTV News: Goat Boy press conference

UGH!!!!! Sa-sa-sucked! It doesn't matter who else was in this sketch, as the mighty awfulness of Goat Boy automatically drags them down to the depths. UGH!!! UGH!!!

Rating: 2 out of 10

[COMMERCIAL] The Kevin Franklin Show promo

A dead on parody of those lame talk shows with Wayans and that other guy. Meadows is my 2nd favorite cast member and here you can see why. He doesn't hold back. "Man, we gonna mix it up, we gonna have musicians and actors and we'll sit them down on a couch and TALK to them. We'll call it an INTERVIEW, man. Aint that crazy!!!!"

Rating: 8 out of 10

[SKETCH] "Friends"

The best way to describe this sketch would be: WHAT THE HELL? Why another lame slam at "Friends"? It's been done! Why have Colin Quinn, one of the worst actors in memory, even attempt an impression? And what the hell was that ending? Hello???? Somebody answer me!!!!

Rating: 3 out of 10

[MISCELLANEOUS] The Go Lords

I don't understand why everyone has been slamming this. Add mechanical puppets, a lascivious President, two determined agents, a Chinese brothel, blood and guts being ripped out of bodies, stir gently and you have a off-the-wall, hilarious sketch. I groaned when Smigel wasn't mentioned in the opening credits but this makes up for his absence.

Rating: 9 out of 10

[MUSICAL GUEST] Oasis

Went downstairs to get some Doritos. Heard the TV blaring upstairs. Didn't care.

[SKETCH] Good Morning with Liza

Oooooooh, they're making fun of Liza! Who's next, Michael Bolton? Oh please, who dragged this tired piece out?

Rating: 4 out of 10

[COMMERCIAL] The Kevin Franklin Show promo 2

As funny as the first. "Legally, I'm not even allowed near a party." Very biting.

Rating: 8 out of 10

OVERALL

Same as usual. Some funny ones that surprised me, some boring crap. I find it interesting that the other people who reviewed the show had some of the exact opposite opinions of the sketches that I did. That means either I have a better sense of humor or I'm a complete idiot. Hmmm.
