[OPENING] Spartan Cheerleader wanna-bees Craig & Arianna

I'm not a huge Spartan fan, but they're okay. Basically the same stuff these characters do every time.

Rating: 8 out of 10

[MONOLOGUE] Matthew Perry

Pretty good, but Perry looked nervous on the stage. A few of the people answering were hilarious!! The guy who took his shirt off had me ROTFL!!

Rating: 8.5 out of 10

[COMMERCIAL] Cookie Dough Sport Drink

This had to be one of the funniest commercial parodies ever!! Just the thought of being thirsty and quenching my thirst with some nice cookie dough was kind of scary. Yet another fake commercial with Ferrell in it!!

Rating: 10 out of 10!

[SKETCH] Celebrity Jeopardy

Probably the weakest Jeopardy yet, but still very funny. Hammond's Travolta was okay, but needs some fine tuning. Norm's Burt was on target as usual, and Perry's Keaton was awesome, especially for someone who doesn't specialize in impressions. The "kick me" sign gag was real lame.

Rating: 9 out of 10 (being generous)

[SKETCH] Sarcasm 101

Pretty mediocre. Norm was funny at times, as was Perry. Meadows ruled! Good twist to have Ana's character as the assistant.

Rating: 8 out of 10

[SKETCH] The Ladies' Man

Meadows delivers another good performance. A bit offensive to both women and gays, but it didn't bother me. It seemed like they just threw Tracy Morgan in to give him an appearance.

Rating: 8.9 out of 10

[SKETCH] Space the Infinite Frontier with Harry Caray

Not as good as the first one, but Ferrell got a couple good lines off. The Frankenstein thing was good ("So technically I'm a murderer!"). It seems like the guest on this is just there to make a strange face at Harry every time he says something.

Rating: 8 out of 10

[WEEKEND UPDATE] with Norm MacDonald

Norm was definitely on target tonight. He didn't have to explain any jokes, and every joke was at least semi-funny. He didn't need any guests either.

Rating: 9.5 out of 10

[MUSICAL GUEST] Oasis

Okay, but I like their old songs better.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

[SKETCH] MTV News: Goat Boy press conference

Kincaid at the beginning was totally meaningless and unfunny, but the rest was good. Perry's Iglasias was good and Ferrell was okay. I didn't know Goat Boy had a band! :)

Rating: 8 out of 10

[COMMERCIAL] The Kevin Franklin Show promo

Another good commercial parody! Meadows's dancing, along with his idea of originality, made for a good sketch.

Rating: 9 out of 10

[SKETCH] "Friends"

Let's see ... Oteri was good, Ana was alright, Kattan was above average, Molly didn't really have anything to do, Perry was a little below average, and Quinn was very funny. Perry was the only weak performance, he flubbed a line or two as well. He also could have acted a little more upset at Quinn's impression.

Rating: 8.5 out of 10

[MISCELLANEOUS] The Go Lords

Possibly the funniest sketch of the night, though a little weird. Kind of similar to the "X-Presidents" in a way. Who did this ... Smigel?

Rating: 9.5 out of 10

[MUSICAL GUEST] Oasis

Terrible!

Rating: 4 out of 10

[SKETCH] Good Morning with Liza

Very good for the traditionally bad last sketch. Molly ruled, Ana was passable, and Perry did a good Woody Allen. Yet another sketch where Tracy Morgan was basically just thrown in to make an appearance.

Rating: 8 out of 10

[COMMERCIAL] The Kevin Franklin Show promo 2

Good ending to the running joke.

Rating: 8.5 out of 10

OVERALL

Good show, good writing rebound from last week. Perry was good in places. Oasis was pretty bad. Brendan Fraser should be a good host in a couple weeks as well.

Rating: 8.5 out of 10
