By Mr. Glass

Well, Its really hard to believe its the end of this season, I mean it really went by fast. But before the review, I'd like to recap how I felt each castmember performed this season:

Rachel Dratch- Rachel is a great addition to the cast. She is not afraid to play weird, freaky characters like Q*PERTIPLEX or The Twin in the Jennifer Garner episode and I appreciate her for that. I think Rachel should stay on the cast at least 2 more seasons, they need her. I think SHELDON is Rachel's best character, she really has the mannerisms of a kid down. Honestly though, I think Rachel is better when she isn't playing herself. I thought her performance in the celebrity game with Eric McCormack was rather weak, but when she's playing a character, she's awesome.
Overall Grade: B+

Jimmy Fallon- Well, Fallon was my favorite in this cast, but he's slipping after this season. Jimmy rarely does impressions anymore and that really sucks, because he's great at them. The thing with Jimmy is that even though he isn't the funniest guy on the cast, his characters (Jarrett, Sully, Patrick Fitzwilliam) are interesting and really funny. Also, on WU I think he's improving and pretty good.
Overall Grade: B

Tina Fey: This wasn't Tina's year. I mean, she had some CLASSIC lines, but nothing like the other years she was on WU. But I really like Tina, she's great. I think for some reason my favorite line she said this year was when she talked about ex boyfriends and said something like "I dont have to worry about that because everyone i've ever dated..has ended up dead"- The line itself wasn't classic, but Fey's delievery made it excellent. I think Tina had some trouble one her more political jokes, many found them to be rather insulting in a time of war, but hopefully she'll be back and better than ever next year.
Overall Grade: B

Darrell Hammond: I think this should be Darrell's last year and i'm surprised he hasn't announced that he's not coming back. Darrell is a great castmember, but I honestly think its time for him to leave. "Hardball" is about the only thing he does that people really like and lately he's barely in the show. So I think Darrell should bow out soon, because he's done so much and now he's barely used.
Overall Grade: C+

Chris Kattan: I thought Chris Kattan was excellent in his final year. He created a memorable character- Buddy Mills and we didn't see any apperances by the overdone Mango and Mr. Peepers. Also, "Gollum" was an underrated nice surprise.
Good Luck, Kattan..
Overall Grade: B

Tracy Morgan: I'll also miss Tracy Morgan very much. Tracy's about the only guy I know that makes a character out of being himself. He's great as Astronaut Jones and Brian Fellows and he'll be missed.
Overall Grade: B-

Chris Parnell: I think Chris is awesome. He didn't do anything really new this season, but that is alright because he remained funny for the most part. I think his raps are getting kinda old though, he should lose those.
Overall Grade:B-

Amy Poehler: I think Amy Poehler is the best female on the cast. She's funny and cute at the same time, plus she got her teeth fixed, so thats good. Her impression of Avril Lavinge was so classic.
Overall Grade: A-

Maya Rudolph- Maya is a great castmember, but I think she has to lose a lot of her characters because they are too annoying. Glenda Goodwin is horrible, and just a waste of time. Donatella isn't quite as bad, but its still pretty annoying. Maya did have a good character/impression that wasn't like her others- Scott Joplin, in what was one original, yet insane skit when Brittney Murphy hosted.
Overall Grade: B-

Horatio Sanz- In my opinion, Horatio is one of the weakest cast members on the show. I mean, ALL of his characters are alike and only a handful of them aren't annoying. I really like Gobi, but thats about it. He breaks character WAAAYYY too much and can't keep control. I actually thought in the Adrien Brody episode, when he played Elton John, he was very funny, even though he broke character and gave a terrible impression. But I think Horatio has the potential to be funny, but he's coming off as being more annoying and loud than funny. In previous seasons, I thought Horatio was funny, but not this season. Sorry.
Overall Grade: D+

Fred Armisen: Wow. What a season. Mackey, Ferecito, Gabe Fisher. This guy is unstoppable. He can make a loser skit a memorable one, even with one line= (In the Deniro episode, the UNweapons official skit when he answered "NO" with a suspicious look) I hope Fred gets bumped up to regular cast member next season because he deserves it.
Overall Grade: A-

Dean Edwards: Well, now that Tracy's gone, Dean will probably be back. Dean hasn't really proven himself in 2 years and thats a pretty long time. I mean, in 1 year Forte and Armisen impressed TONS of people, but not Edwards. I hope they give Dean 1 more year of being a FP to redeem himself and I hope he does it.
Overall Grade: D+

Will Forte: Forte is awesome. I mean, just like Armisen he came into the cast and impressed TONS of people. Tim Calhoun is one of the most insane, yet hilarious characters SNL has come up with in a LONG time. I LOVE the Falconer and its my favorite skit of the season. Forte was also memorable in "GIVE UP THE HAM" and the Kelly Bros.
Overall Grade: A-

Seth Meyers: Seth is a great cast member. He was great in Pranksters and as the Dell Dude and in Top O THe Mornin. Seth is also great on WU. I have nothing but good stuff to say about Seth Meyers
Overall Grade: A-

Jeff Richards- Richards is an unusual castmember in that his impressions (Gary Busey, Dustin Hoffman, David Letterman) are absolutely awesome but his characters (Drunk Girl, Baby K) are terrible. Richards himself is a great castmember and deserves to be bumped up to regular castmember status.
Overall Grade: B

--Now for the review--
COLD OPENING
-Hardball is a great skit. Classic. This was no different, but its gonna be sad now that Tracy's gone and that mean's so is his impression of Al Sharpton.
B+
---------------------------------------------------------
Dan Aykroyd
-Yeah, the Blues Bros. is nothing without JOHN Belushi. I've never really been a big fan of Jim Belushi's. But at least its not John Goodman.
C
---------------------------------------------------------
Top O' The Mornin'
-Great comment about brother "Julio" and some great memorable lines. The thing with the eggs was pretty funny too. Akroyd was pretty good as the Father of William.
B
---------------------------------------------------------
Rialto Grande with Buddy Mills
The thing with this skit is that they are all identical and that can get a little boring, but seeing as this is probably the last one, its alright.
C
---------------------------------------------------------
The Falconer
I was nervous about this. I mean, I like the Falconer but I hope that don't overdo it. This turned out to be pretty hilarious. John Goodman- AGAIN? Man, I'm sorry but I've never been a fan of Goodman's. I just think he's NOT funny but he thinks he's hilarious. I mean, LET AKROYD have his show, the dude's never hosted and Goodman who's hosts all the time has to show up? Oh well, not a big deal I guess..
B+
---------------------------------------------------------
Jen and Ben
Pretty funny and true. I can see them doing another one of these. Funny idea.
B
---------------------------------------------------------
Versace Barbecue
-Goodman as Anna Nicole was terrible and hard to look at. But the thing about this skit that I loved was Jeff's impression of Letterman, that was excellent

<[WEEKEND UPDATE]>
-It was great seeing Kattan do his impressions, but I was hoping for "GOLLUM" to show up. OH well. Tina and Jimmy were pretty good.
A good way to end the season
B+
---------------------------------------------------------
Astronaut Jones
-I LOVE this skit. The theme song is excellent and really catchy. This was one of the best one's. So long Tracy, we'll miss you, buddy.
A-
---------------------------------------------------------
The Dog Restaurant
-WHAT THE HELL?? This was pretty weird, but more on the stupid side of weird.
D
---------------------------------------------------------

Dr. Deacon's Haunch Crack Powder
_Sick but kinda funny
C

Overall: Well, this was a bit of a dissapointing episode. I'm really glad Kattan did his thing on WU, but I wished Tracy could have gottena better send off than "Its Tracy's last show". Maybe a WU segment with Tracy saying how he's not getting much respect would have been good.
Oh well. I think its been a fairly good season, and I cant wait 'till next season.

Best skit: Astronaut Jones, Falconer
Worst Skit: Dog Restaurant
