Billy Bob Thornton / Creed
November 17, 2001

Pre-Show Thoughts-
I'm not a big fan of Billy Bob Thorton, and I wasn't expecting a great show.

Opening- Press Conference with Donald Rumsfeld
This remind me of the Opening skit from two weeks ago, and this one worked really well too. (9 out of 10)

Billy Bob seems really shy, and probably nervous. The jokes and the voices were pretty funny, and liked the bits with Amy and Maya.
(8 out of 10)

Skit- Thanksgiving Feast
This was pretty funny. The jokes were clear, and it didn't run too long, which is always a good thing. (9 out of 10)

Same commercial from the John Goodman show two weeks ago, and it's still funny to me.

Skit- Nick Burns
Allright! Nick Burns! We haven't seen this character since the Calista Flockhart episode.
No disappointment here, this skit worked really well with Billy Bob playing Nick Burns' father. (10 out of 10)

Skit- Brian Fellow's Safari Planet
Another character we haven't seen in quite a while. This skit worked well too, but I didn't noticed any new material since the last Safari Planet. (8 out of 10)

Skit- Inside the Actors Studio
Will Ferrell can crack anyone up without even saying anything. The taped bit with Will as James Lipton running through the streets of New York was really funny. (9 out of 10)

Skit- Martha Stewart Living
Ana does an excellent Martha Stewart, as always. All of the lines Martha had were really funny. I thought it was funny how she cooked that 50 pound bald eagle instead of a turkey, to show her patriotism. Short and funny. (10 out of 10)

Skit- Singing about Kandahar
Wow, it's great to see some of the cast members singing. Ana, Maya, Will, Seth, and Rachel all have nice voices. Tracy's bit was a little weird, but that's okay. (8 out of 10)

Weekend Update
As always, Tina and Jimmy never fail to make me laugh. Maybe not the best Weekend Update of the season so far, but still pretty good. Rachel as Harry Potter was funny, and I'm glad to see Rachel getting a bit of airtime. (8.5 out of 10)

Skit- Fenced-in Area
This was pretty funny, but ran a little long. (7.5 out of 10)

My Big Thick Novel by Jack Handey
We really have to see these every week? They got old, but atleast they're quick.
(2 out of 10)

After-show thoughts-
I'm surprised. If you read my Gwenyth Paltrow episode review from last week, you noticed I wasn't too excited about Billy Bob hosting, but he did great and the show turned out well.

Next episode: December 1, 2001 -
Derek Jeter
Bubba Sparxxx and Shakira:

Derek Jeter hosting should be interesting.
Two musical guests, huh? Does Bubba Sparxxx have enough x's in his name?
