Ian McKellen / Kylie Minogue
March 16, 2002

Hey all-Happy St. Pat's day-hope you all don't/didn't have a terrible hangover. I hope you don't mind my 'Short and Sweet Reviews'...I was reading some the other day and I realized that I don't get to detailed like other reviewers. I guess mine just gets right down to the point. OK, well then, lets get down to it....

PRE-SHOW THOUGHTS:
Hum....I not too excited or have even thought too much about this episode. Reason being is the fact that I haven't heard of Ian McKellen since last week, or seen any of his work. So, I'm thinking that the show will be a dud. I also hope that Will is back!

WARM OPENING: This was funny-but I have seen better. The color thing was really funny as well.

Grade: B

MONOLOGUE: OK-so I'm starting to get the picture on who this guy is. The bit about the action figure and Jimmy was funny. He seems excited so lets hope for the best.

Grade: A

KOTEX CLASSICS:
This was really funny. this was well done and it did poke fun at the ads for todays pads. This was funny to watch period. And I was surprised to see Tina in a commercial-good for her.

Grade: A

VERSAGE:
This looks as though it's becoming a regular skech. They are funny. Ana's character was good. McKellen saying she smells like Diesel fuel was good.

Grade:B+

DELICIOUS DISH:
I love these! This is the first one of the season. Rachel's bit about the cabbage was funny. These were also funny with Molly also. Good times.......

Grade:A-

TV FUNHOUSE:
This was a riot. Winona stealing the Oscars was good, and the whole swan thing was funny too. lol

Grade: A

HOT-AIR BALLOON MYSTERY THEATER:
This was probably the weaker one of the night. Rachel's accent was amusing-but I didn't get the drift of this one.

Grade: C

MUSIC:Kylie Monogue:
I liked this song when it first came out but now I'm just kinda sick of it. McKellen watching her was a first-it would be cool if more people did that with the musical guests.

Grade: B

WEEKEND UPDATE:
This was hilarious, probably one of the best WU I have seen in a while. Can you tell that JIMMY didn't know what to do after that kiss with McKellen? He was speechless! That Judy Dentch (spelling???) bit was funny. 'Little clever Judy Dentch.'All the jokes were great. Paula Jones and Tanya Harding (spelling??) was really funny and the Louie Anderson bit was a riot. Jeff Richard's impression was great. This whole thing was EXCELLENT overall.

Grade:A+

TURKISH TALKSHOW:
This was lame at first but when Horatio came in and starting making fun of the mustaste, it was a good one. None of them could keep a straight face.

Grade:B+

A&E ONE-MAN SHOW:
This was a good one. Doing all that along with the jokes turned out good. The cat thing was funny too.

Grade:A-

MUSIC (again):
To be quite truthful I didn't think she would perform again. I didn't care too much for this song, but oh well.

Grade:C

COMIC BOOK GUYS:
Horatio's hair was bugging me.lol. McKellen was good, and Seth was doing his normal thing.

Grade:B

AFTER-SHOW THOUGHTS:
This turned out to be funnier than I expected. Weekend Update was the best and a majority of the sketches were a riot. WILL WASN'T BACK! That's really making me upset. But thank the Lord that they didn't have a Jack Handey...that woulda sucked.Whats really sad is that this might be Ana's last season because of her pregnancy. If that's the case then they will be loosing a lot of great cast this season (Ferrell,Kattan)
Tracy Morgan was only in the Kotex thing-thats a bummer because he's a riot. Well, sorry for this lame retarded review, I wanted to get it done but I am REALLY tired!

NEXT LIVE SHOW:
Host: Cameron Diaz
Music: Jimmy Eat World
-Im really excited because APR 6 is my B-day. Woo-hoo go me. I bet its a good one, Jimmy Eat World has some good music and Cameron Diaz is funny.

Until Next Time,
Peace & Love
