Pre-Show Thoughts- I figured that Mena Suvari would make a great host. Let's see how it went.
Opening- A Message From Former President Bill Clinton
This skit was a great way to end off Darrell Hammond's Bill Clinton
impression. We might still see the impression sometime later in
the future, but tonight was basically a wrap for it. Nice opening.

Monologue- Mena Suvari
It was so funny to see Mena Suvari spoof 'American Beauty'. Seeing
Will Ferrell in his Spartan costume, and Molly Shannon in her
Mary Katherine Gallagher costume was a bit surprising, since both
skits are retired.
(8 out of 10)
Commerical- Gatorade Love Bucket
Very good commerical to air right before the Super Bowl.
(7 out of 10)
Skit- Airport Security
I think this is a new recurring character for Maya Rudolph. It
was funny, and it had its moments, but I think it was kind of
a rip from Cheri Oteri's "Simmah Down Nah." If this
is a recurring skit, I hope it's funnier next time. (7 out of

Skit- Janet Reno's Dance Party - The Final Episode
I've always liked Will 's impression of Janet Reno, and tonight
was most likely the last time we'll see it.
I was amazed when the real Janet Reno busted in. I've always appreciated
it when celebrities/politicians can make fun of themselves. (Judge
Judy, Robert DeNiro, alot more.) Anyway, this skit was very funny...but
it would have been even funnier if the real Janet Reno beat up
Will Ferrell's Janet Reno.
(9 out of 10 for both Janet Reno's)
Skit- Rap Street
If you remember reading my review for the Tom Green episode, you'll
remember how I gave the 'Rap Street' skit during that episode
a flat 0. I hated these characters beyond any other character.
Surprisingly, this time, it was a funny skit. I was laughing even
harder when Horatio played off when his mustache was coming off.
Mena's impression of Aaron Carter was strikingly nice.

CARTOON- X-Presidents
Somehow, I knew they would do this tonight. There's not much to
say on it, though. It had its moments, but all in all, it didn't
do much for me. Fun With Real Audio is usually better.

Long Commerical/Promotion- 'Wake Up Little Suzie'
This is, of course, a spoof of the new movie "Save the Last
Dance". Tracy stole the skit, and made it very funny. (8

Weekend Update with Tina Fey and Jimmy Fallon
Kind of a slow Update, but it was good to see Jesse Jackson/ Al
Sharpton. I knew they would do these guys. SNL has kind of worn
out Jacob Silj.
(7.5 out of 10)
Music- Lenny Kravitz
Skit- Veronica and Company
This skit was funnier the first time around, but it's had its
moments during this one. I like Molly Shannon's energy, but this
skit doesn't do much the 2nd time around. (7 out of 10 for Molly,
Ana, and Chris P.)
Skit- DeMarco Brothers
Blah. The Britney Spears skit was the best one, because it was
the first one! I hope this recurring skit ended here. The Bloder
Brothers (Chris Parnell and Jimmy Fallon) are funnier. (6 out
of 10)
Music- Lenny Kravitz
OVERALL Show- Tonight's show was decent, and entertaining.
Janet Reno's cameo was surely a highlight.

Next live episode: February 10th, 2001- Jennifer Lopez
Ah, she's hosting and doing music...I'm looking foward to it.
