Dana Carvey / The Wallflowers
October 21, 2000

OPENING SKIT:
I really don't like these, but this was bareable. Chris Kattan was cute and
kind of funny. Dana Carvey's appearance was great! He was hilarious as
usual. When he dressed as a Latino voter, I chuckled. I'm glad he said,
"Live from New York, it's Saturday night!".

MONOLOGUE:
I like how he made fun of Gore and Bush. His hair was funny looking (Gore
hair: LoL). His monologue was awesome!
~*~A+~*~

COMMERCIAL: MAGIC MOUTH:
The farts were hilarious. I was dying. I couldn't stop laughing!
~*~A+~*~

DELICIOUS DISH:
I love this skit. I chuckled when Dana Carvey said, "That's not part of the
costume." Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer were great!
~*~A~*~

CHURCH CHAT: CHURCH LADY:
Church lady is the best and I'm glad they brought it back! I loved when
they abused Ana Gasteyer, who portrayed Hillary Clinton. Chris Kattan was
cool (he's great with gay and female characters). The hot dog and taco
thing was a great idea. I liked when he introduced Chris Parnell, who did
Eminem, as "crap singer". The Church lady rap was the best! This skit was
such a highlight!
~*~A+~*~

HUNTING WITH BUSH AND W. BUSH, JR:
I liked when Dana Carvey slapped Will Ferrell over the anthler.
"Retardation" was funny. However, the skit wasn't that great.
~*~B-~*~

WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?:
Yay! Even though they showed this for two seconds, it was cool!
~*~A+~*~

WEEKEND UP-DATE:
The khaki thing was kind of funny. Molly's appearance was cool. Though she
doesn't look like her, she does a great impression of Anna Nicole Smith.
She is such a character! The university bit was hilarious. Adam McCay's
thing was okay. When Robert DeNiro came on, that was the best of weekend
up-date (I'm gonna meet you...you're gonna meet me: LoL). Jimmy's
impression was cool! Robert DeNiro's impression of Jimmy was a good
addition. This weekend up-date was pretty good.
~*~A-~*~

THE WALLFLOWERS:
Their music isn't the best, but it's bareable.
~*~B~*~

VH1 FASHION AWARDS:
Molly Shannon and Jerry Minor were cool! Maya Rudolph was funny as Macy
Gray. Chris Kattan made a great Dylan McDermott. He was in a lot of skits.
Anyway, Tracy Morgan (who did Samuel L. Jackson) is always hilarious.
Jimmy Fallon made a good Sting, but Rachel Dratch was excellent! Finally,
Rachel was on! That was funny. Dana Carvey was an okay Rudy from
"Survivor". The voice was good, though.
~*~A-~*~

CHICKENS:
I think you could see a glimpse of a cue card. Oh, well. Horatio Sanz and
Dana Carvey were on the urge of laughing. Chris Parnell made a nice
millionaire. The chicken piece was funny because of the live chickens.
When Dana Carvey sang (Tomorrow), it was cute. I love the Broadway part
with the chickens. They were so cute!
~*~A-~*~

THE WALLFLOWERS:
This song was actually good. I liked Dana Carvey's shirt.
~*~A-~*~

OVERALL:
This was a great show! Ah, finally. Dana Carvey was too funny! I'll
probably watch the Halloween special next week. To top off this night, the
Yanks won game one of the World Series (yay)! Well, I won't get upset if
the Mets win the World Series because they're both NY teams. For now, ta
ta!
