Alec Baldwin / Coldplay
April 7, 2001

Tonight had alot of firsts...Like my favorite sketch is normally one of my least favorites. You'll see what I mean later. Tonight had some very nice extra things too...but Im going to try to control my hormones this time. On with the show...

Here's how my Grading Scale works:
A-Potential to be a Favorite
B-this goes to skits that I LOL'ed at
C-smileworthy
D-okay I guess
F-a waste of time

(OPENING) Address from the President
I think I yawned once or twice during this, but Ive worked all week so...maybe it wasn't that boring as I thought it was. and for the last time, "Dont' EVER mess with Texas."
Grade: D

(MONOLOGUE)Alec Baldwin
Welcome back boy, you have yet to do a bad show. And Im writing this after watching this weeks. Congrats to Darrell for having a role in the show.

Grade: C

(COMMERCIAL) Reliable Investments
I had no clue where this was going, but if it didn't go somewhere fast I was going to throw myself out of the window.

Grade: C

(SKETCH) NPR: Delicious Dish
I was a little concerned about how they could do this sketch without Molly. I was also concerned about how I was going to sit through my normally least favorite sketch. Im glad that it as Rachel that they got to do the part of Lynn. Character break alert in this one, so being the wierdo I am, this is going to be an all time favorite of mine. Ana had a nice comeback though. "Verbal Diahrea." (One day I promise Ill learn how to spell it.)

Grade: A

(SKETCH) Tough Guy
Not bad, not necessarily great though. I love Will's and Kattan's reactions. I hate it when they close down a sketch with scrolling words though.

Grade: C

(SKETCH) Inside the Actor's Studio
I had no clue who Alec was supposed to be. I admit it. But it seemed like a legitimate impression so , um, Yay for you alec!

Grade: C

(WEEKEND UPDATE WITH JIMMY FALLON AND TINA FEY)
This has potential to be one of the best WU's. But Im trying to make sure Im not being swayed by just one factor of it. I think alot of Tracy's humor comes from how he talks. I was rolling. Each week, Tina is starting to become "my girl now." Those hefner jokes were terrific. "Not a blond pubic hair on any of them." "You are the weakest link, guh bye!" Kid Rock is back baby. He didn't have the same delivery for the Hollywood Minute that Spade does, but nonetheless it was pretty funny. I have a confession. I rewound my tape and watched David strut across the update desk several times. Ahhh...yeah... what? Oh sorry, Im back to normal now.

Grade: A

(SKETCH) Robert Goulet
Could this have been any longer? I guess not but oh well.

Grade: D

(SKETCH) C-Span/Taxcut something or another
The only thing I caught from this was dead squirrels and palm jobs from shemales.

Grade: D

(SKETCH)Lasting Impressions
Haha, that cat looked ever so pleased. LOL. This was the sketch that saved the caboose of this episode.

Grade: C

OVERALL GRADE: B+
BEST SKETCH: Delicioius Dish..whoa, I cant believe I just said that.
WORST SKETCH: Robert Goulet
HOST GRADING: A
MUSICAL GUEST: I think I am being tugged on by the rest of the world, "Yellow" was enchanting.
FINAL COMMENTS: Yay, it appears that Im going to get another guess the host right. But you'll hear me be all excited about that in my next review. Well, Im off to watch the end up of update again. GAHAPT!
