Season Finale Sealed

Techno artist Moby will perform as musical guest on the May 18 season finale of "Saturday Night Live," according to a source at the show.

Moby, whose new album "18" comes out in May, will make his "SNL" debut. As previously reported here, Winona Ryder is expected to host.

Viewers Tune in for Rock

The Rock's return to "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend boosted the show to its highest ratings in the 18-49 demographic since the season premiere last September.

According to Nielsen Media Research, "SNL" more than doubled Fox's "Mad TV" among adults 18-49 (5.1/20 vs. 2.5/9) and adults 18-34 (5.3/24 vs. 2.6/10).

9.4 million viewers tuned in overall, with the WWF superstar hosting and Andrew W.K. as musical guest.

Gasteyer Not Letting Up

The New York Times reports that Ana Gasteyer will finish off the "SNL" season, which wraps May 18, despite the fact that her baby is due just a month later. "I intend to work all the way through," she said.

Gasteyer credits the show's costume designer, Tom Broeckner, with helping her hide the pregnancy early on. "He kind of helped me keep it on the Q.T. as long as we could."

A Movie About Nothing

Former "SNL" cast members Colin Quinn and Chris Rock will appear in "Comedian," a documentary about Jerry Seinfeld's year on the road doing standup comedy after "Seinfeld" ended.

Variety reports that Miramax Films will distribute the picture, which "takes audiences behind the scenes as Seinfeld travels from venue to venue for his standup gigs." In addition to Quinn and Rock, comic Gary Shandling will appear as well.

No release date has been set.
