Step aside, Bruce Vilanch.
If Eddie Murphy wants help penning one-liners for the 2012 Academy Awards, Norm MacDonald is offering his services.
Sitting in as a guest host on the Dennis Miller Radio Show, yesterday, MacDonald fielded a phone call (from yours truly) regarding the announcement that fellow SNL alum Murphy will host next year’s ceremony.
“If anybody is listening in the Eddie Murphy camp: I will write for that show,” declared MacDonald. “…’cause I love Eddie Murphy. Nobody funnier.”
With or without his own material, MacDonald has high expectations for Oscar night—especially after suffering through this year’s Franco/Hathaway fiasco (“I think they tied for worst hosts ever”).
“Eddie’s become a little Zen-like … He’s stepped back a little from the ‘crazy Eddie’ of old,” admitted MacDonald. “I think this is going to burst him back to the ‘incredibly funny Eddie Murphy,’ and I can’t wait to see him.”
The Japanese version of Saturday Night Live premiered over the weekend, and, as you might expect, it looks and sounds a lot like the American version of Saturday Night Live.
The horns. The Pardo-sound-alike. They even have Asian Jimmy Fallon at the 35 second mark.
He really was a ladies man…
Will Ferrell sits down with Zach Galifianakis for the weirdest talk show segment of all time…
