FAN WEEKEND UPDATE

Postby jenningswriter on Fri Jul 04, 2008 4:09 pm

Several former "Beverly Hills, 90210" stars are coming out in support of the CW spin-off "90210" coming this fall, even going as far as to sign on to do a guest appearence on the show. One star who has rejected any offers is Luke Perry, who played Dylan on the original show. Asked why he doesn't want to appear, Perry said, "My sideburns are retired, thank you."
"They drew first blood, not me."

NO.

Also, did you ever answer my question? To refresh:

Do you think you are funny?

No bullshit. No lame jokes in an attempt to deflect the question. Just answer it.

No stutters, but an ellipses would imply some level of hesitation.

Though, to be honest, I highly doubt that is what brought about Cowbell's reaction

Are you trying to prove a fuckin point asshole? You are taking the fun out of everything on this board by picking a fight. It's like "dumbum" said, hey, I'm tired, let me find someone to pick on jennings so I don't have to. That's your fuckin' job, eh? What? Yeah, I thought so.

I'm not picking a fight. I'm wondering why you choose to ignore all feedback and continue writing essentially the same terrible joke over and over with no signs of improvement, and in fact no signs of an attempt at improvement. Which is why I asked the question. Do you really believe you're good at this? Or do you think we're all jealous of your amazing comedy abilities?

In the old thread I wrote a post detailing specifically what was wrong with a majority of your jokes. It was legitimate, thoughtful criticism. You chose to ignore it completely. Do you think you're above criticism? Do you think you don't need to change anything about the way you write this stuff? Do you really post your jokes in this thread, a public forum, expecting nothing but approval?

If you really think you're going to make a living doing this, you're going to need to figure out that stubbornly churning out crap until people suddenly like it won't work and won't happen.

As I've said before, when you willingly choose to post your work, you better learn how to take the heat when nobody likes it. And then improve.
If you disagree with me, you are wrong.
