Arrival time or the September 26, 2009 show with host Megan Fox & MG U2 was at 9:30 a.m. We were #1 & #2 in line. We thought there would be a ton of U2 fans in line which is why we got there early. Our best friend, Chris got to the line a little after we did. He was #3. It was the three of us until 3:00 p.m.
At 4:30 p.m., Alyssa came out with hot pink bracelets that are numbered to keep standbys in arrival order. If you don't have a bracelet then you are refused a ticket. She was supposed to have someone come out during the night to give the bracelets out to the rest of the standbys but no one showed up so only nine of us got bracelets & because of that, there were line jumpers.
At 4:45 p.m. we saw Kevin Smith arrive to be on the Jimmy Fallon show. He signed a few autographs & then went inside. Kevin filmed parts of his movie A Couple Of Dicks in our neighborhood over the Summer.
At 5:30 p.m., Chris, Louis & I went to Burger King for dinner. After dinner, Chris went back to the line before us & then as Louis & I were heading back, I saw Bobby Moynihan at the line talking to Chris. Bobby saw me & he gave me a hug while I had two drinks in each hand.
We saw Kevin Smith come out & Chris got a picture with him. At 7:20 p.m. I saw Simon Pegg taking pictures with a few people.
At 8:00 p.m. we went to Starbucks to get warm drinks to keep us warm outside. I sat in my chair awhile & I saw Bill Hader walk fast down the street but he did say hi to the front of the line. During the night we talked to people.
Sean Bradley stopped by with a friend of his & did some video for his website www.saturday-night-live.com. He interviewed Louis, Chris & I for his video too which was cool.
Ticket time arrived at 7:00 a.m. Louis told the page that only 9 people got bracelets & with an attitude said that's fine. He didn't even give a speech to the line before handing the tickets out. I got #1 air ticket & Louis got #2 air ticket for our friends Erica & Mike.
SATURDAY NIGHT
Louis & I went to Subway for dinner in Rock Center & then we went to Ben & Jerry's for ice cream. We sat in the concourse for awhile. I checked my email & Facebook page.
We got to the NBC lobby at 5:45 p.m. to chat with some standbys. Louis noticed his cell phone was missing so he had me go look for it. I didn't find it so when I got back to Louis, I told him I couldn't find it. Chris arrived & I told him what happened. The three of us went to look again & still no luck. Louis called from my cell phone to suspend his cell phone.
We went back to the lobby & chatted with ticket holders & standbys for a bit. Louis went to talk to Alyssa & she told Louis she couldn't find anyone to hand out the rest of the bracelets after she left.
Louis & I went up for dress. 52 standbys got into dress. U2 did two songs after the credits. After watching them, we went down to the lobby. Gave Erica & Mike their standby tickets & chatted for a bit. We also chatted with two women from Toronto & Chris.
Louis & I went up for the LIVE show. 63 standbys got into the air show. Kirsten Dunst & Simon Pegg were in the audience sitting two rows down from us. U2 did a few songs after the show again & this time they did With Or Without You.
After the show, we went down to the lobby. Saw everyone except for two new cast members. Chatted with Will Forte, Will's Mom, Bobby & Louis chatted with Kirsten Dunst. I even chatted with Elisabeth Moss, Martin Short & Jerry Minor. Jerry remembered my name & I was so excited. I got a picture with Martin Short & another with Will & Bobby together. I got a hug & a kiss on the cheek from Will's Mom. We also got a group photo of all of us Super 5. [It would be Super Six but one is on tour. We miss you Brittney] Chris & I got a picture together doing a tribute to U2. After we left the building we went outside to catch a cab to drop Chris off & to take us home. While waiting for Chris to use his good luck to get us a cab in the rain, I said hello to Amanda, Kelly & Zach.
It is times like these where I appreciate doing what I love & I cherish the memories. I love feeling the rush & I love being on a high week after week. Try it, you will love it too.
WHAT GOT CUT
PET FOOD- Commercial. Jason Sudeikis. An Ad about pet food made of garbage.
LAST RITES- Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Megan Fox & Bobby Moynihan. Bill is on his death bed & after he dies, he makes funny noises & keeps sitting up. I thought it was funny.
CROTCH ROCKETS- Will Forte, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader & Megan Fox. Will is directing an action scene. Megan keeps slapping Andy. Don't ask me why it's called crotch rockets.
EPISODE REVIEW
PRE-SHOW THOUGHTS- I don't really know Megan Fox that well. I've only seen Transformers. I know she is in Jennifer's Body. This will be the third time U2 has been on SNL & it will be my third time seeing them. They will make the show look good. I love U2 & have since I was 13 years old.
UN ADDRESS COLD OPEN- I thought this was long & boring. It dragged on. F
PHOTO MONOLOGUE- It was funny when Megan was showing the pictures & Bobby did his laugh, which I love. Why do I love his laugh? I love it because its a funny laugh. C
BLADDIVAN- Commercial. I like the dog food commercial better since I am an animal lover. This one is more for the guys to laugh at. D
FLIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT- I will be going on a flight soon but I don't think I will run into this. I loved it every time they said OK. It was funny because the flight attendants were being so calm about it. B
RUSSIAN BRIDES- Fred looks good as a woman. It was funny when she would try to wink but instead blinked. I would have gone for Megan Fox because Fred said he didn't want to be one. B
SNL DIGITAL SHORT #1 - Brocks Date. I loved this one because she really liked Will & she wanted to marry him, then he goes No F-in Way. A
GRADY WILSON'S BURNING BED SHEETS- Some of the moves were really funny especially the first one. B
U2 "BREATHE"- This was a good song. I was dancing in my seat. B
WU WITH SETH MEYERS- Jason Sudeikis was cut doing a commentary on John & Mackenzie Phillips news story. It was funnier than Jean K Jean. Jenny Slate was cut as Orly Tate reacting to the UN thing. Kristen does really good on the fast talking. Some of the WU jokes were leftover from Thursday. I want to give a shoutout to Kyli & it was nice meeting her on Thursday night. C
LIVE LOUNGE- I can picture Megan doing something like this. I loved some o the categories the people were in. B
U2 "MOMENT OF SURRENDER"- I loved this song. It was nice & slow but really beautiful. A+
BIKER CHICK TALK SHOW- I thought this was funny & I hope it becomes recurring even if Jenny Slate did make a slip up. When I saw this in dress, I turned to Louis & said "I talk like that some times. He smiled at me & said yes you do & I should slow down. A+
SNL DIGITAL SHORT- Transformers. This was OK. I loved the fact that it had Brian Austin Green from the original 90210 in it. B
YOUR MOM TALKS TO MEGAN FOX- An interesting way to get to know the host. They should have this more often. A
GOODBYES/CREDITS- I normally don't grade the goodbye/credit because there usually isn't a MG singing. I loved this U2 song also & thought it was really neat with lazers coming out of his jacket. Loved the microphone too. This song gave me chill bumps because it was so good. A+
AFTER SHOW THOUGHTS- Megan Fox is really hot & I will admit that she turned me on as well. U2 did an amazing job as usual. I want to thank my best friend Chris for helping me out with what got cut & why Jason & Jenny got cut from WU. I give the show a B.
