The Quest for Sketches

Postby Tokuisei on Fri Nov 07, 2008 3:38 am

Many years ago I saw the funniest SNL skit I've ever seen. I spent the whole time laughing uncontrollably. Ever since then I've never been able to track down what season, episode, or skit it was. So here's what I remember:

The skit took place in a hotel lobby, with mostly male players playing the roles of hotel staff. The gag was that when handling luggage the staff was extremely violent. They would break lamps, walls, smashing up the entire set. By the end of the skit the set looked like it had been hit by a hurricane. This sound familiar to anyone? Can't wait to find it again!

Does anyone remember this sketch?? Been trying to find it!

Postby serpentine009 on Fri Nov 07, 2008 9:39 pm

I am not sure if it was a Dean Witter sketch or what, but it was almost set like the mentor from Jerry MacGuire. The sketch goes on and the financial adviser says "We will make a list, and put our clients names on the list" We will protect the list, we will keep the list in a safe place.

I have been trying to find the lines from that scene or a video capture of that scene for quite some time now. Can anyone help??

Thx.

I've been trying to find it too - I know which one you're talking about, it's a Jim Downey sketch parody of a Dean Witter commercial

Ok ok sketch sorry.. I wasn't aware. But now I know, and knowing is half the battle. Thank you guys for narrowing it down to Season 22 - Episode 2. Now does anyone have any idea how I can actually watch this? I called around and most video stores just have "Best of" DVDs. Also no luck searching video sites, torrent sites, etc.. Is there a Season 22 DVD out there? Anyone know if this appears on any of the "Best of" DVDs? Best of Lisa Kudrow? posting.php?mode=reply&f=13&t=358&sid=bf08d872d272b0f027e642cbdbb31361#

Thanks again guys!

There isn't a Best of Lisa since she only hosted once, try asking on the tape trading board bc i know someone will have it probably. But the Dean Witter one is on Commercial Parodies i think it's the one you're thinking of - Grayson Moorhead? From David Schwimmer season 21 ep 3.
