Teen Band sketch from the season 19 Christian Slater episode.

The elaborate Planet of the Apes parody with even the opening montage changed to show apes instead of the cast members' human faces.

Lothar of the Hill People.

Season 21 in general is a bit underrated. It had a lot of promise. Norm MacDonald and Mark McKinney and David Koechner were all pretty strong that season, but very little of that material sees the light of day now. To this day I don't know if Koechner left the show on his own or was fired; if he was fired, that was an injustice along the lines of cutting Michaela and Casey this year.

I agree. It was one of the coolest things SNL has ever done, in my opinion.

Just a few of my favorites: The Roofers from the Steve Forbes episode in 1996. The Wedding SIngers from the Joshua Jackson episode in 2000. The One Night Stand sketch from the Bill Murray episode in 1987. The "Price & Waterhouse" sketch from the Michael Douglas episode in 1984. The "Bad Guys, Good Conversations" sketch from the Bradley Cooper episode from 2009.

Speaking of that episode..the girls only doctor sketch was really funny and dark. Another hidden gem that year was a sketch in the Steve Guttenberg episode..where Victoria Jackson applies for a modeling job...and Kevin Nealon unknowingly directs her to do a back flip out a window.
Bank robbers watching the news from the Joe Pesci show in 92 is also great and underrated.

I was also gonna name this as one of my personal favorites. One of the better episodes of the otherwise mediocre 93-94 season.

Also, as far as one offs go, I am quite partial to the "Admirers in the Restraunt" sketch from Shia LeBeoufs' 2008 show (doy doy doy.)

A lot od people rip on Shia and lump him together with Timberlake and Rogen as far as hosts go. They do have every right to do so, but just remember these three things:

1. He only hosted TWICE and never cameod unlike Mr. Timberlake.
2. They actually wrote some pretty decent sketches fro him looking back.
3. I really don't see them asking him back again.

Dear sister is underrated. It was an absolute sensation on you tube but I don't feel like SNL really gets much credit for it.

Does anyone remember that sketch with Will Ferrell and Brenden Fraser singing about being best buddies and creeping out the rest of the SNL cast? I always liked that one and was surprised it wasn't included in any of the Ferrell SNL sets.

Also every sketch from the Jon Lovitz hosted episode in 1997. That was a great one, wish Lovitz would've hosted more.
