Moynihan Talks ‘SNL’ Auditions on ‘Fallon’
In his debut appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Thursday, Bobby Moynihan discussed his two auditions for Saturday Night Live—and the nine months of crying in between.
Moynihan recalled that he first auditioned for the show in 2007, even landing a meeting in Lorne Michaels’ office before the Writers Strike forced SNL to shut down production. The following summer he was given two days to prep for a follow-up audition, which he nailed.
Moynihan also chats about the genesis of his Snooki impression and his recent collaboration with the Jersey Shore star (“28 pounds of dynamite”).
